RBA’S MUSICALITY IS ABOUT THE ART OF “SOULTHEATRE”
This so-called genre comes from the love of grooves that bring the soul to the theatre; deep, sweet, yet illuminating; crafting the art of dancing, singing, and the chemistry of white noises.
RBA produces this “SoulTheatre” record with a root of Jazz, Soul, and R&B; with a touch of 808 influenced beats. He also DJs with a range as far from the sweet melodies of old school R&B, the shift beats of House, Disco, and Garage, ’til the floating sounds of nowadays’ Neo-Soul & Future Bass. It’s a wide range of music, almost everything that will probably make you always do the D.A.N.C.E.
THE SOULFUL CAREER
BEEN A SOUL, FUNK, ACID JAZZ, AND GOSPEL MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST FOR YEARS, RBA HAS BEEN ACTIVE IN THE INDONESIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY OF SINCE 2007.
A SOULFUL 13 YEARS IN MUSIC.

Indonesian archipelago.
He started his electronic music production matters and Disc-Jockey career in college through an indie musical collective called Papermoon Records, learning fundamentals from Bandung’s own HMGNC, mainly in the eclectic genre.
Later, he joined Dominion Records and Entertainment (formerly Lockermedia) in 2014 and began his career in the commercial music industry, debuting his commercial single “Blowed” in 2016. He also joined Trigger Production in 2018, continuing to dig deep about kinds of fusion neo-soul music he called “SoulTheatre”.
Along the years, he had worked on music projects with Indonesian artists like C.N.M, Nikita Willy, Barsena Bestandhi, Bleu Clair, Kevin Widaya, Teza Sumendra, Jevin Julian, CVX, Bimo Ganzar, Nadhira, Abenk Alter, Jérémie, Baila Fauri, Tiara Effendy, Gally Glitch, and still continuing to work with other names to date.
THE MUSIC PREFERENCES
As for what he DJs, he will always be bound to please the waves of the crowd. From the BPM of 60 to 170, he DJs in all genres, styles, and tempos, but mainly in the sounds and tracks he personally vibes & likes. That includes the warm-up & laidback sessions like Hip-Hop (Old & New School), R&B (including Funk & Soul), Nu-Disco, Soulful & Deep House; the “peak time” sessions like Tech-House, Big Room Progressive House, Club Anthems, Modern Bass House, Twerk & Trap; to the late-night Karaoke session featuring Throwback Pop Hits, and timeless anthems. It’s literally anything. Low-key establishing a so-called genre “SoulTheatre”, RBA focuses his music production in the range of Neo-Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop, with a touch of combined classic & modern 808s and Gospel sounds, makin’ it more vibrant, orchestral, and deep, all that kind of white noises.
As stated, he wants this so-called genre to bring the soul to the theatre; deep, sweet, yet illuminating.
